We are pleased to announce that Tim Chrystal has been named Director of Sales. Tim will be transitioning from his interim role, effective July 2, 2018. The Director of Sales plays a critical role in the success of our Commercial business and Tim’s extensive experience with health plans in the Massachusetts market and surrounding states will be essential to that success.

Tim joined Health New England in June 2016 and was recently promoted to Director of Underwriting. Tim has been instrumental in improving our fully funded and self-funded underwriting pricing and procedures, working closely with our New Business and Existing Business Sales teams, and actively participating in broker and employer presentations and meetings.

Prior to joining Health New England, Tim was in underwriting management at Tufts Health Plan for more than ten years where he had responsibility for pricing commercial business for MA, RI and NH. In addition to Tufts Health Plan, Tim has worked at UniCare and Phoenix Home Life Insurance.
Throughout the years, Tim has established relationships with many of our community partners, brokers and employer groups and will be able to continue to build on those relationships in his new role.

Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, with a concentration in finance, from the University of Connecticut. He lives in Westfield with his wife and daughter.
