MyHNE Broker & Employer Portal – Coming Soon

We are excited to announce the upcoming launch of the new Health New England Broker & Employer Portal. During the next few weeks, we will pilot the new MyHNE Broker & Employer portal with the Broker Advisory Council. The new portal is planned to go live later in the first quarter of 2017 and will completely replace the HNEDirect portal.
Overview
Over the past two years, Health New England has engaged in user-based research and ongoing discussions with brokers and employers about the functionality of the current portal. As a result, based on your feedback, we have created a better self-service tool for brokers and employers. This new portal has features that will help minimize the time it takes to performs tasks and it is easier to use. The new platform will also allow us to upgrade or add functionality as needed.
Below are some of the new and enhanced features of the coming MyHNE Broker & Employer portal.
New features
- Adaptive and mobile accessible. Users will have different views and capabilities depending on the device you are using – smartphone, tablet or desktop computer.
- Role-based functionality. Different users have different levels of access and user management tools:
- Broker Portal – Quoting Only, Standard User and Super User
- Employer Portal – Standard User and Super User
- Book of business view. Brokers can see full member roster and will be able to manage renewals easier.
- Member roster view. Employers will have the ability to view and download their member rosters.
- Commission report access. For broker Super Users only.
- Invoice search. Brokers and employer Super Users can view the past six months of premium bills/invoices.
Enhanced current features
• Streamlined member enrollment and maintenance. Easier for users to add, terminate and manage employees; ability to search for a member across entire book of business (broker) and across divisions (employer).
• Quoting process overhaul. Brokers will enjoy an ecommerce “shopping” experience during the quoting process. You can compare plans, save plans to a “shopping cart” and customize your plan selection presentation. You can share quotes brokerage-wide and download a printer-friendly Excel file of your quotes.
• Forms and resources section. Find frequently used forms and useful links.
This new portal enhances our commitment to you. And, as always, we are local and are here to support you in any way possible. More information and next steps will be shared once the pilot is underway in January. Stay tuned.
