As a reminder, Health New England no longer sponsors the monthly administrative fee associated with HealthEquity’s Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) for large and small employer groups. This change became effective earlier this year on 4/1/16, upon employer group renewal.

Fee schedule details:

• For both fully funded and self-funded plans, the fee is $2.95 per account per month.
• Fee also applies to Cobra participants.
  o Employer groups may opt out of the administrative fee for Cobra Divisions by contacting their Sales Representative. Cobra participants will then be responsible for submission of claims to Health Equity.

Additional data for the fee schedule is available on the HealthEquity website. Please note that Health New England will not be involved in the billing process once the final group has transitioned at renewal.
