HNE is introducing five-tier rating for all group quotes with effective dates of April 1, 2011 and forward.  Prior to this change, HNE calculated rates using two, three or four-tiers. We are making this change to quote our products using a more accurate estimate of assumed members by contract. The five-tier rating structure includes: (1) individual (2) subscriber and spouse/domestic partner (3) subscriber and child (4) subscriber and children and (5) family.

Please be sure to provide a five-tier census for all small and large-group quote requests and we will be happy to develop the rates in a two, three, four or five tier basis.  Just let us know which tier(s) you would like back for the quote request submitted.

 At HNE, we are committed to rating each group as accurately as possible, thereby mitigating rate adjustments based on census data that is understated.
